Another fine article by Lydia Polgreen.

After years of reading her beautifully written pieces in the NYT and treasuring my email relationship with the intrepid Lydia Polgreen, we finally met in Goma. We were staying at the same hotel. Through breakfasts and dinners, she was writing on the laptop, meeting deadlines.. One day I spotted her on a motor bike zipping through the outskirts of Goma, perhaps researching this piece. I feel I made a new friend.
