To get word out to the international community about what they heard and learned on their first week, members of the delegation held a media briefing in Bangkok on July 25th where they shared testimonies gathered from survivors of Cyclone Nargis, women’s groups, prisoner rights groups, and civil society organizations with members of the international press. Mia Farrow told reporters that the world should use the upcoming Beijing Olympics as a platform for demanding that China end its support for Burma’s military junta.
